Under the scheme of modernisation and removal of obsolescence our department received grant in aid from All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi .

This scheme aims to modernise and remove obsolescence in the Laboratories / Workshops / Computing facilities, so as to enhance the functional efficiency of Teaching, Training and Research purposes. It also supports new innovations in Class Room and Laboratory / Teaching Technology, development of Lab Instructional Material and appropriate Technology to ensure that the practical work and project work to be carried out by students is contemporary and suited to the needs of the Industry. The equipment financed under the scheme is used for up-gradation of equipment in existing laboratories, enhancement of performance parameter specification of existing equipment, incorporation of latest development in the field and replacement of old depreciated equipment by modern equipment. In addition to above major objectives, the equipment installed through MOD-ROBS can be used for indirect benefit to Faculty / Students through Continuing Education programmes, Training programmes for local industry and consultancy work.

Conferences and Seminars

The AICTE Sponsored National Conference on Emerging Trends in Computer and Information Technology (NCETCIT-12) was conducted on 11-12 May,2012 to promote Research and Developmental Activities in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Computational Engineering.

It provided a common platform for Researchers, Academicians, Technocrats and Industry people to exchange their research challenges encountered and the solutions adopted. It facilitated information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working in India.

The Conference took stock of trends and developments at the globally competitive & research environment. Eminent Speakers & Researchers provided future directions to young researchers and practitioners. It brought together leading researchers, scientists and engineers in the domain of interest from around the nation. The papers were presented in the disciplines.
